The journal’s first issue explores the concept of texture and featured an interview with visual neuroscientist and artist Christopher Tyler, PhD (head of Smith-Kettlewell Brain Imaging Center, San Francisco), who discussed how texture is perceived in the brain, as well as 10 articles exploring texture through architecture, production, digital fabrications, poetry, and materiality.
