The journal’s first issue explores the concept of texture and featured an interview with visual neuroscientist and artist Christopher Tyler, PhD (head of Smith-Kettlewell Brain Imaging Center, San Francisco), who discussed how texture is perceived in the brain, as well as 10 articles exploring texture through architecture, production, digital fabrications, poetry, and materiality. Other contributors included:
